Even an iconic beauty
Can view her reflection
Through a prism of uncertainty,
Her image distorted
By self-doubt into
An unrecognizable imitation
Of herself.

I love it. Yes indeed, sometimes when we look in the mirror we don't see who we really are. (This can prove to be either good OR bad.)
a lot internally comes into play when we look in that mirror for sure...great to see you at dverse today...smiles

ugh...self-doubt can destroy so much...we should learn to look into these mirrors with loving eyes..but easier said than done sometimes..
This is a beautiful reflection and it recognizes its refracting twin.
You've touched on an almost-universal experience I suspect, Mary. So glad you chose this one.
