We planted our love in the spring,
Hearts flying high on true love’s wing,
But time’s march is a constant thing;
Greens faded into brown.
There is no song for us to sing
Since love came crashing down.
I love the rhythm of the second line. It seems to almost, but not quite, trigger a musical memory somewhere in the back of my mind. A pretty poem with a sad ending but a wonderful rhyme pattern. K

Ah yes, so often it happens in life as it happens in nature: greens change to browns! Nice poeming here.
oh sigh, when it comes down. beautiful. love the photo, too.
Beautiful, Mary... I especially like the last two lines.
I really like this. It is simple and sweet.
