Thought Processes

The Thinker - Auguste Rodin

I am a thinker.
I dissect and analyze
Everything around me
Into the smallest segments possible,
Until opportunity disintegrates
Before my eyes.
Much better to take action,
To step forward
And live a larger life
Than my systematic mind
Would ever think possible.

there does come a point where we take so long to measure the angles we miss the window...i think the secret lies between the two...

An unexamined life is not worth living says Socrates.
The advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
Talked to any surface dwellers lately?:)

Yup, I can go along with this! Hypothesis and antithesis bring in a new synthesis!

I always liked that statue, nice choice. I also like how you jump from that into overthinking things into the "smallest segments possible" when "opportunity disintegrates." It's a good way to turn they abstract idea into something tangible.

This made me smile! Such truth here in concise form. I think many can identify. One can think and think as opportunities pass by.

I think to live a full life, we need to be in it..doing and experiencing it.

Nice take ~

I think finding a balance b/t the two is the key. Enjoyed this, Mary!

I suspect that many of us lean toward the thinking/feeling side of life. Like Laurie says, Balance is where it's at!
