Chains of Life

Each moment
Links to the next.  Chains
Of life pull
Us forward,
Guiding our steps, leading us
To our destiny.

I always did believe that life is simply moments, linking together the days :) Nice.

I sometimes feel like the chains of life are dragging me down, tying me to my past. Interesting that you see them guiding us forward...

Love this...I have been feeling the pull for many years, but have JUST now learned how futile resistance is. Slowly committing to going with the flow and letting the chips fall where they may...wish me luck! Wonderful write for OpenLinkNight :)

Life does insist, and steps (and the decision on which direction to place those steps) does indeed carry us to our destiny. Concise and informed!

I agree - my life stopped being a struggle when I decided to stop fighting the inevitable.

Brief, but bril.

true that...and each decision we make decides the bonds of those links as well...pulling us along...

Simply creative. The power of the link in a chain. Superb.

Well-done, Mary. I was thinking of this concept just yesterday. How each decision, moment, informs and directs each next decision, fork in Life's road. You captured this perfectly.

We get pulled or pushed by the momentum of life's wonders. How true, Mary!

That strong sense of being pulled along by Fate is something I have not felt. Perhaps I am not looking closely enough. However, I do know how passions and desires have ruled so much of my day, so maybe that is what is meant by Fate. Your poem reminds me I should become more aware of this power in my life.

And it is these chain of moments which make up our life...nice.

Hi Mary,

This is so true how each moment is a chain that is connected to the next moment. And if we had made a different choice during any of those moments then our chain would have gone in a whole other direction. It is so true about how we can never change our past and so we should always look to the future or the current moment in time. But then that current moment quickly becomes a part of our past. I guess we really only have that exact moment and need to use it wisely.

Happy Theme Thursday!! And thanks so much for sharing such a great moment with us.

God bless.

But can we shape it?

So lovely and so concise. So much said in so few words. Some links are stronger than others. Some shiny. Others not so shiny. But every link is essential. Thanks for sharing your impressions of the prompt. I enjoyed this very much.
