I tag my walls
with poetic graffiti,
littering the overpasses
and abandoned shells
of my existence
with the verbal vandalism
of a desperate dreamer
screaming to be heard
in a cacophonous world.

~~~ This was written in response to a prompt from Imaginary Garden with Real Toads, asking us to consider the idea of “poetry written on a wall.”
Hmm. Interesting negative (ghetto?) slant: graffiti, litter, vandalism, screaming! What if it were embroidery
decorating, wisdom, and chanting? Nah--I see that that would never give the idea of breaking through that I think you are going for--or the positive take on why what seems to be destructiveness truly exists.
verbal vandalism of a desperate dreamer...ha..i like that much...much better than the wall scratching of a half loon man...smiles.
