A Welcome Rain
Let the rains come to cleanse my soul
And wash away this dusty ache,
The remnants of a heart not whole,
The broken path I’m forced to take.
If only for redemption’s sake,
Let raindrops hide the falling tears
That cause my fortitude to shake.
Let me reclaim my wasted years.

Ah, I don't think a person can ever reclaim one's wasted years; but one can resolve to LIVE from this day forward. Your poems are always thought-provoking.
Yes, this one speaks volumes of truth. I wish we could reclaim time, instead of with it away~
Powerful...I really enjoyed your poem

Rains can be such a physical and spiritual cleanser! Beautiful, reflective poem!
Raindrops hiding falling tears... is so sad and yet so beautiful.

I am what I am today b/c of a broken road I travelled for years...
