Pen by Anna Langova |
some days the hardest part
of writing is forcing
ideas fermenting
in my brain
past the
bottle-
neck
of
un-
certainty
into my pen
and onto my paper
to share with the world.
~~~ This poem was written for a prompt from Imaginary Garden with Real Toads asking us to use the word “bottleneck.”
Great take on the prompt!! I love it!
I find myself in that bottle neck at times also and sometimes after it clears the bottleneck I wonder if I should really send it on. Love the poem and its presentation!
Lovely presentation, Mary. I can most certainly relate! Thanks so much for participating.
Woww...I loved this....you presented it so well....
Wow, this is brilliant and so well done~ I love your take on this prompt~ :D
love your bottleneck shape! and that is often it, isn't it? getting past the uncertainty to brave sharing our work with others.
really great take on the prompt, Mary!
Well expressed, Mary! Hard sometimes to get past the 'bottleneck' and send our creations out into the world! Loved the shape of your poem as well as the words.
Somedays... you said it! And the form is fabulous, Mary. I usually find this type of writing confining and limiting. Here, you make it seem natural and fluid. Well done.
Yes! Today my Energy is bottlenecked and my brain feels oxygen-deprived.......am reading, as am not up to writing, at this point. Enjoyed your poem, kiddo.
Mary, you gathered some of the first thoughts I had when I read Laurie's word and visually and content wise captured them perfectly. Well done!
I can relate...sometimes squeezing it word for word ~ Nice take ~
I love the lay-out - brilliant. And don't all of us know that feeling?
indeed!
